3D Seismic

3D Seismic

3D seismic is a powerful method of geophysics used for hydrocarbon exploration and field development. It provides detailed insights into subsurface structures, fault geometries, and potential hydrocarbon prospects.

We have implemented the following state-of-the-art seismic imaging and inversion technologies in the structurally complex Barmer Basin in Rajasthan

  1. Mega Merge seismic PSTM and PSDM processing integrated multiple 3D surveys from various field areas into a seamless seismic volume, enabling the identification and de-risking of new exploration prospects in the Rajasthan block.
  2. Advanced orthorhombic seismic processing significantly improved subsurface imaging in the Raageshwari area, enhancing structural interpretation and reservoir architecture while reducing development drilling risks.
  3. An innovative workflow successfully merged two seismic vintages with different orientations, generating high-quality seismic images in the Mangala field.
  4. Local angle domain seismic imaging technology provided enhanced definition of main bounding and intra-field faults, reducing drilling risks in the attic oil development of the Bhagyam field.
  5. Stochastic inversion technology was applied to delineate thin beds of the Fatehgarh reservoir, building a detailed reservoir model and mitigating development drilling risks in the Aishwariya field.
