GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS
Cairn has always been at the forefront of forging collaborative and strong relationships with leading oil field service players globally. Whether it has been the world’s longest heated and insulated pipeline for transporting crude oil, or the recently concluded growth projects with global players to execute one of the world’s largest Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and Alkaline Surfactant Polymer (ASP) campaigns.
The company has consistently been a rapid technology adopter across all its blocks, and has welcomed creative solutions from its partners, maintaining the highest standards in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ). Sustainable development continues to be a topmost priority.
Here’s what our current global partners have to say:
Continuing to build on past success, with an ambitious target to expand the share in the crude oil production of India to 50%, Cairn plans to undertake one of the largest and most aggressive hydrocarbon exploration campaigns across the globe in an otherwise volatile and uncertain oil and gas landscape.
46 OALP blocks are spread across 50,000 sq km across some of the richest oil and gas basins in India. They are contiguous to some of the highest oil producing oil fields in Barmer, Assam, Cambay and the Krishna Godavari (KG) basin, with a good mix of unconventional and conventional play along with existing infrastructure and data capabilities to jumpstart activities on an immediate basis. They entail an exhaustible work program consisting of ~8,000 km of 2D seismic activity, and ~21,000 sq.km of 3D seismic activity, with ~ 180 exploratory wells to be built in an expedited manner.
The vast expanse of this program warrants the need for out-of-the-box thinking and opens up opportunity for global oil and gas technology and services leaders to partner with Cairn, to deployniche technical and operational capabilities across the entire value chain of the Exploration and Production (E&P) lifecycle, including seismic activity, advanced drilling, rigs, and early production facility services through innovative commercial constructs and engagement models.
Based on these significant developments, Cairn has embarked on a global partner outreach program with more than 150 oil and gas technology and services leaders. Cairn is already engaged in strategic, long-term partnerships with global companies that share our vision to drive exploration and production across project lifecycles, leveraging creative and collaborative partnership constructs.
With Cairn’s global partner outreach program to drive exploration and production in India, these blocks provide all the partners an opportunity to participate in the emerging upstream oil and gas landscape of the country. The company is committed to accelerate production and maximize the overall potential of all our assets.
It will endeavor your support partners in the deployment of the latest technologies, and design its constructive risk – reward structures to ensure success for the company as much as for its partners. Cairn believes in long-term strategic partnerships, with the aim of continuing collaboration in future OALP and Discovered Small Field (DSF) rounds, with a shared vision of developing the rich oil and gas assets in India in a responsible and safe manner, thus, driving the country towards energy independence.
