Cairn Oil & Gas Executives to Speak at CERAWeek 2025 to Showcase India’s Hydrocarbon Potential


HOUSTON – March 4, 2025 – Cairn Oil & Gas, part of Vedanta Group, and India’s largest private Oil & Gas producer, will have several members of its leadership team as Speakers at the 43rd annual CERAWeek presented by S&P Global, a premier global energy conference, being held from March 10-14 in Houston, Texas.

As Strategic Partner at CERAWeek 2025, Cairn leadership will be present at the forum to discuss a variety of Upstream opportunities in India in areas covering Drilling for Onshore and Offshore, subsea infrastructure development for Deepwater operations, Shale, Tight Oil, EPCM services and Technology, seeking collaboration with U.S. partners to drive these advancements forward.

Cairn speakers include:

  • Anil Agarwal, Founder and Chairman, Vedanta Group, is scheduled to speak in a plenary session on Tuesday, March 11 at 2:55 p.m. He will discuss, alongside Daniel Yergin, S&P Global Vice Chairman, India’s untapped hydrocarbon potential and opportunities in the global supply chain to energize India.
  • Sam Algar, Chief of Exploration, will address upcoming challenges, opportunities and trends in the global upstream industry in a breakfast session on Tuesday, March 11 at 7:25 a.m. CST. The session will focus on how the energy transition, geopolitical tensions and technological advancements will shape industry strategies.
  • Andrew McIntosh, Chief Commercial Officer, will join a panel on “Resilient Upstream Strategies for the Future” on Wednesday, March 12 at 7:25 a.m. CST. The panel will discuss how upstream companies can innovate and adapt to secure their future in an ever-evolving energy market.
  • Mandeep Narang, Director, Operations, will participate in a Climate Innovation Agora Hub on India’s energy journey on Wednesday, March 12 at 4:30 p.m. CST. The discussion will focus on how India faces the challenge of meeting rising energy demands and the economic, social and policy drivers that will shape the country’s clean energy future.

Additionally, Sam Algar, Andrew McIntosh and Chief Financial Officer Hitesh Vaid will participate in Leadership Circles, which are by invite only, peer dialogues exclusively for senior-level executives to address and share learnings on challenges facing the energy future. Topics include how AI is revolutionizing the energy sector, climate and sustainability, chief financial officers’ roles in sustainability and how industry strategies are shifting to fit future conditions.
